There's a free (limited) version available at http://www.editpadpro.com/editpadlite.html and a "Pro" version that's just under 50$ available at http://www.editpadpro.com/ The Pro version isn't for everyone, but the Lite version will provide a multi-tab application that you might like and provides an excellent free alternative to Notepad. I used the Lite version for years before finally switching to the Pro version last year. I’ve always been a big fan of EditPad.
