Test Pattern #69: The American Energy Act
The American Energy Act will increase our supply of American made energy.
It will improve conservation and efficiency as well as promote new and expanding energy technologies.
All of this will help lower the price at the pump and reduce our costly dependence on foreign oil.
But Nancy Pelosi wants you to think it’s all about offshore drilling.

This last trip up north for work really sucked. Normally, the hotel I stay at has a workout room, with treadmills, exercise bikes, and ellipticals, but this time, I got stuck at a hotel with nothing more than an “exercise corner”.
Of course, this wouldn’t be so bad, if I didn’t actually gain three pounds while I was there. Damn. Next time I am going to demand a better exercise room.

My wife has been thinking about that vacation I wanted to take. Because of issues with my GMC Envoy, I now own a GMC Sierra 4-door Crew Cab and we’re all itching to go somewhere. She mentioned North Carolina and the Outer Banks, so I did some checking tonight, and actually found myself looking at Wilmington NC real estate. I thought it would be a bit more expensive than it turned out to be. Of course, my wife reminded me we are going for vacation, not to move. Darn!
Guess I better get back to work.
My Goal Is To Be Debt Free
Last week I decided I am going to be debt free (except the house and car) within two years. I am currently writing a small application that will help me keep track of all the payments I make each month, and increase them any time I have extra money to put into the payment.
We are almost there, it’s just going to take a little more discipline for the next couple years, that’s all. If you are trying to reduce your debt, start with a student loan consolidation. I can’t imagine where we would be, had my wife not been able to consolidate hers.
Daddy Needs A New Pair Of Shoes
One of the benefits of working from home is that I don’t go through a lot of shoes. In fact, I have about three pairs of shoes, total. For the first time in a couple years, I will need a new pair soon. My kids, on the other hand, are a completely different story.
We used to buy them the cheap knock offs, because they were going through them so fast, but now that they are staying in the same size shoes for more than one season, we have started buying the name brands, like Air Jordan, so they learn now what a good shoe feels like.
I like them too, because they’re not too overpriced, and I love the retro look.
Now, if I didn’t have to work, we could play ball.
